The CryptoFirewall™ core is a custom silicon core that is designed to provide extremely high levels of security. The CryptoFirewall core's patented tamper- and emulation-resistant techniques have an unparalleled track record of stopping device cloning, emulation, key extraction, and other attacks that can lead to counterfeiting.

The CryptoFirewall technology can be deployed as a stand-alone chip or as part of a larger ASIC. Conventional standard-cell semiconductor processes are supported, making fabrication straightforward.

Depending on the application, Cryptography Research can provide a single- or dual-chip solution. Single-chip approaches are typically used for applications involving a verifier which is on-line or is not at risk for tampering. Dual-chip approaches enable bidirectional authentication and security in environments where the verifier also requires tamper resistance.
