SOLD-OUT One-Day Workshop on Side-Channel Analysis at Cryptography Research, June 12, 2012
SAN FRANCISCO, California — May 1, 2012 — Cryptography Research will host a one-day workshop on power analysis attacks and countermeasures on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM in our San Francisco office.
The workshop provides an introduction to side-channel analysis including simple and differential power analysis (SPA/DPA). Participants will perform hands-on exercises including using SPA to interpret power traces and recover secrets. Live attacks will be performed on mobile phones and the SASEBO FPGA platform using the DPA Workstation™ platform.
Presenters will examine practical design approaches to counter power-analysis threats and review the state of associated U.S. and international security evaluation certifications.
The prime audience for the workshop includes developers and architects of hardware and software security products, as well as evaluators and technical writers of requirements for tamper resistant products. Technologists designing and testing tamper resistant systems for mobile devices, financial systems, pay television, mass transit, secure ID, secure storage media, entertainment and government/defense applications are encouraged to attend.
A technical background is recommended. Please view the workshop agenda here.
