Cryptography Research, Inc. and Visa, Inc. Settle Legal Dispute

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — September 23, 2008 — Cryptography Research, Inc. today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement settling its litigation against Visa, Inc. (NYSE: V), under which Visa will become a licensee of Cryptography Research’s patent portfolio covering countermeasures to Differential Power Analysis (DPA). The license fee and other settlement terms are confidential per the agreement.
