Test & Measurement: Sr Customer Support/FAE

Responsibilities:

• Serve as customer engineer / technical marketing engineer for a test and measurement platform used for testing the security of cryptographic ASICs. The platform performs data capture from oscilloscopes, signal processing, statistical data analysis, and signal visualization.
• Perform technical demonstrations of platform capabilities for sales support
• Train customer engineers using established training materials
• Provide direct customer support for basic system setup and debug of customer scripts and device interfaces. Serve as first line support and manage technical follow-up when necessary
• Create application notes, customize demos, and create marketing support collateral for specific industry uses
• Learn industry-specific security requirements and device testing workflows
• Troubleshoot platform and assist with bug analysis
• Interface with developers and researchers to to provide feedback on customer requirements, resolve issues and keep documentation and training materials in sync with system.
• 25% travel for sales support

Requirements:

• BS/MSdegree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related engineering discipline
• 5+ years experience in hardware/software engineering
• 3+ years experience in supporting technical sales and pre-sales for test and measurement equipment, as an FAE, sales engineer or technical marketing engineer
• Motivated, self-starter who enjoys working with and supporting highly technical customers
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience creating and debugging shell scripts and batch files for test and measurement workflows
• Experience with embedded systems, setting up and using lab equipment
• Strong working familiarity with Windows/DOS platforms, Microsoft Office

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of C/C++
• Experience with or willingness to learn about Differential Power Analysis, signal processing
• Experience with cryptography
• Experience with or willingness to learn about security product certification, security requirements for tamper resistance
